昆士兰州Queensland

　　昆士兰州位于澳大利亚大陆的北部，是澳大利亚面积第二大州，人口排在全国第三。东临珊瑚海，北濒卡奔塔利亚湾。面积172.7万平方公里。人口293.9万（1991）。首府和主要港口布里斯班。昆士兰海岸线长达7400公里。昆士兰州享有“阳光国度”的美誉，一向以拥有怡人的气候和世界最庞大的生物体——“大堡礁”为傲！主要城市均为沿海港口，有布里斯班、罗克汉普顿、汤斯维尔、凯恩斯等。从历史上看，昆州经济发展的支柱一直是农产品，主要是牛肉、羊毛和谷物。制造业的三大支柱有食品、饮料、烟草。昆士兰州是澳洲煤炭的最大出产和出口基地。昆士兰农业主要有肉类、谷类、糖和羊毛。昆士兰是澳洲主要的食肉牛出产地，约占澳洲总食肉牛量的45％左右。澳洲是世界上最大的羊毛生产国和出口国，约占世界年产量的30％。昆州羊毛生产约占全澳产量的8％左右。澳洲还是世界上第二大原蔗糖出口国，其中昆州占澳洲产糖量的96％。
    昆士兰州有3所大学，6所高等学院，32所技术或专业教育学院。布里斯班(Brisbane)是昆士兰州的首府，是澳大利亚惟一一个冠以“太阳之城”的亚热带首府，是著名的国际展览中心城市之一，山水环绕，风景秀美。

　　1989年5月24日，上海市同澳大利亚昆士兰州正式结为友好市州关系。
The Queensland is located in the northern part of Australian mainland. East is near Coral Sea, north is close to the Carpentlian Bay. It occupies 1.727 million kilometers square with population 2.939 million (1,991). Brisbane is capital and major port of Queensland with 7,400 kilometers coastline. The Queensland state enjoys “the sunlight state” reputation for its wonderful climate and proud for “the Big Barrier Reef”!
The main cities are all coastal harbors, for example , Brisbane, the Rock Hampton, Townsville, Keynes and so on.
From historically view, agricultural products, such as beef, wool and grain, are economic development basis. The main manufacturing industry is food, drink, and tobacco. Nowadays Queensland is an important coal produce and the export base in Australia, its main agricultural products are meats, cereal, sugar and wool. Queensland is the Australian main food beef cattle produces.
Australia is the biggest wool production and export country in the world, approximately composes the world annual output30%. The Queensland has 3 universities, 6 higher institutes, 32 technical or professional education institutes.Brisbane, the capital of Queensland state, as a “sunny city”, is famous for international exhibition and its beautiful sceneries. In September, 1988, Queensland and Shanghai proposed to establish sister city /state relations.
Late May, 1989, Queensland and Shanghai, signed sister city/state relations agreement and other Exchange Project Memorandum.On May 24, 1989, the friendship between Queensland and Shanghai was established.

    上海简称沪或申。地处太平洋西岸，亚洲大陆东沿，长江三角洲前缘，东濒东海，南临杭湾，西接江苏、浙江两省，北界长江入海口。上海交通便利，地理位置优越，是一个良好的江海港口。2004年年末，全市户籍人口1352.39万人。上海是中国经济最发达的地区之一，是世界的大都市。
    上海旅游节是中国著名的大型旅游节庆，同时又是世界的节日，吸引着四海宾朋纷至沓来；当今世界著名的节庆活动在这里汇聚，尽情演绎多姿多彩的民俗风情和节庆文化。
本地风味的上海菜又叫本帮菜。本帮名菜有很多。在世界各地有华人的地方，都有以上海命名的餐馆。
     1989年5月24日，上海市同澳大利亚昆士兰州正式结为友好市州关系。至2005年末，上海已与50个国家的66个地区结成友好城市关系或友好交流关系。
Shanghai is situated at the western bank of Pacific Ocean, eastern Asian mainland and the Yangtze River delta front, east is close to East China Sea, south is near Hangzhou Bay, west meets Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, north Yangtze River enters the seaport. The transportation of Shanghai is convenient with its superior geographical position and as a good harbor. By the end of 2004, the whole city household registers population is 13.5239 million. Shanghai, as a famous metropolis in the world, is one of the most developed areas in China.
The Shanghai traveling festival is famous not only in China but also in the world. It attracts more and more tourists and guests all over the world gathering here to participate in festival activities or celebrates custom characters. The characteristic local flavor cuisine is “Hai Cai”, which can also be called “Bengbang Cai”. This kind of restaurants are scattering in most parts of the world especially in Chinese overseas communities.
By the end of 2005, Shanghai has established the friendship city relations or communicative relations with 66 countries and areas.
